These terms govern the sale of objects by SHIKOLO [VERIFY — registered entity name, company number, registered address, VAT number] through this site.
The edition
Each object is sold as part of a numbered edition. The edition size is stated on the product page and does not change once announced. When an edition closes it does not reopen. We do not guarantee which number in the edition you will receive.
Orders and acceptance
An order placed through this site is an offer to buy. A contract exists only when we confirm the order by email. We may decline an order — for example where an edition has closed, where a price has been listed in error, or where we cannot verify the delivery address.
Price and payment
- Prices are shown in euro and include VAT where applicable [VERIFY].
- Import duties and taxes outside the EU are payable by the buyer.
- Payment is taken in full at the time of order.
Handmade variation
Objects are cut and stitched by hand from natural hide. Grain, tone and marking vary between pieces. Variation of this kind is a property of the material, not a defect, and is not grounds for return under our guarantee — though it is covered by the ordinary right of withdrawal set out in Shipping & Returns.
Guarantee
We guarantee each object against defects in materials and workmanship for two years from delivery. The guarantee covers repair, or replacement where repair is not possible. It does not cover ordinary wear, damage from misuse, or work carried out by a third party.
Intellectual property
The SHIKOLO name, the object designs, the photography and the text on this site belong to SHIKOLO. Nothing here transfers a licence to reproduce them.
Liability
[VERIFY — liability cap and exclusions must be drafted to the trading jurisdiction. Consumer rights that cannot be excluded by law are unaffected.]
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of [VERIFY — jurisdiction], and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive competence, without limiting any mandatory consumer protection in the buyer's country of residence.
